Trainer Brian Koriner said of the inside post for the Turf Sprint, "It doesn't bother me that much. He's won from post three twice, and that's only two spots over. Now we don't have to worry about getting pinched, or if he doesn't break right getting run over. There's only one horse to his outside and he'll be fine. It's no big deal and it might even work out to his advantage."

He's a different horse this year. He's stronger. He's filled out. He was always a good horse, but he's even better now. He's got that high cruising speed. He'll save a length right to start from there. All the speed is outside in the race and Raffie (Bejarano) should be able to pick a good spot from where he is."

Avila said, "She won't be on the lead, but she will be in the first or second flight, right behind the leaders, I hope. She's better for this race this year than she was last year. She looks good, she's feeling good. We'll just jog and gallop up to the race and keep her batteries charged up."
Classic horse Handsome Mike galloped 1 1/4 miles under exercise rider Jonny Garcia with stablemate Boxeur des Rues. Trainer Doug O'Neill said, "The Pennsylvania Derby really seemed to have jarred the wake-up switch on him," said O'Neill. "This is the time of the year when the 3-year-olds have kind of caught up with the older horses. He should be forwardly placed. He's a free-running horse you can't take hold of." Sprint contender Boxeur des Rues galloped 1 1/4m at Santa Anita Tuesday with exercise rider Norberto Vasquez. Trainer Doug O'Neill said "Post 14 is OK. He's the last to load and he'll just make one big run. If they go crazy up front, he'll be picking them up late at a big price."

I went into the chute at Hollywood Park and did figure-eights with him. But he wanted no part of it. Stephanie (Korger, assistant) gets on him every day. We just let him alone. He does his own thing at whatever pace he wants to go at, and he's tickled to death."
He's Had Enough galloped 1 1/4 m at Santa Anita with exercise rider Jonny Garcia Tuesday in preparation for the Juvenile. "Even though he broke his maiden at Del Mar, He's Had Enough is definitely a dirt horse," said trainer Doug O'Neill. If anything, he's more advanced at this stage than I'll Have Another, who was not stretched to two turns until his 3-year-old year."

"He was really good, very relaxed, but in the bridle taking everything in," said Jennifer Patterson, assistant to trainer Shug McGaughey. "I couldn't be happier with how he's been since he got here. We knew that was going to happen, anyway, but between mentally and physically, everything has come together"
Pool Play went out for a gallop in preparation for the Classic. Trainer Mark Casse said, "This horse may be my biggest accomplishment ever. That was a ‘wow' race and then the Alabama was most impressive. Hopefully, we'll go back to that form."
Richard's Kid galloped in preparation for the Classic. Dennis O'Neill, assistant to brother Doug said, "It's perfect; a great draw. He's drawn outside, so (Garrett Gomez) can do whatever he wants to with him down the stretch the first time and drop in or move up depending how the break shapes up. Hopefully somebody will push Game On Dude out of there in a little speed duel and set it up for us. It's a very strong field, even for a Classic. There are several Grade 1 winners in there and Game On Dude, who was second last year is definitely a very good horse and may be a great horse."

On their best day they could be factors. I wouldn't rule any one of them out. And if you really asked me who I would pick, one over the other, I couldn't
do it. That's how well they're doing."

Tara from the Cape galloped in preparation for the Juvenile Fillies Turf. Aron Wellman of ownership group Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners said, Tara's coming into this race a little under the radar. We bought her after she broke her maiden going 4 1/2 furlongs on Polytrack at Woodbine and transferred her to Todd (Pletcher). She won a stake (Greene Memorial) going two turns on the grass the first time. She came back and ran a very creditable third in the P.G.
