Note: In 2017, My Boy Jack did not break his maiden until his 5th start in the Zuma Beach Stakes at Santa Anita after finishing 2nd in the Del Mar Juvenile Turf Stakes. He closed out the year finishing 7th in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) at Del Mar. He made his 2018 debut finishing 3rd in the Sham Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita then won the Southwest Stakes (G3) at Oaklawn. He finished third in the Louisiana Derby (G2) then won the Lexington (G3) for his final prep to get enough points to make the Derby field. In the Kentucky Derby (G1) he trailed early by 19 lengths but rallied to finish 5th beaten 7 lengths as the 6-1 second choice.
