Note: Royal Mo broke his maiden in his third start as a 2-year-old at Del Mar in November. He made his 2017 debut winning the Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita, then shipped east to Oaklawn where he finished 9th beaten 11 1/2 lengths in the Rebel Stakes (G2). Returning home, he finished a close third in the Santa Anita Derby (G1). He was an also-eligible for the Kentucky Derby but did not draw in the race. He was at Pimlico prepping for the Preakness and fractured his right front sesamoid in his final workout. He is at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine’s New Bolton Center being treated currently.
