On the left is the beginning of the walkway which leads through the grandstand to the track.

Miami Jockey CLub, Hialeah Park, Miami, Florida

Hialeah Park was completely re-built in 1931 by Joseph E. Widener and associates, who formed The Miami Jockey Club. The accent on beauty has given impetus to Mr. Widener's designation of "a park where racing is conducted." Essentially a park, it is one of the true beauty spots of this country. To its exquistely landscaped 200 acres come hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, to see the beauties of the Park, and during the winter season, to enjoy the Sport of Kings where horse-racing is conducted in the most sportsmanlike manner. (This is just the first paragraph of an 8 paragraph dissertation on the back of the photo. The postcard is 3 feet long and 6.5 inches high. It rolls up in a protective tube mailer. The postmark is from 1943.)
