Notes: Beholder has been a top competitor for many years with Eclipse Awards for Champion 2-year-old filly in 2012, Champion 3-year-old filly in 2013, and Champion Older mare in 2015. She won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies in 2012 and the Breeders' Cup Distaff in 2013. Her best year was 2015 when she was undefeated in 5 starts, including the Clement L. Hirsch Stakes, the Pacific Classic, and the Zenyatta Stakes, although she missed the Breeders' Cup due to a fever.
In 2016 she won her first two starts at Santa Anita, the Adoration Stakes and the Vanity Mile. At Del Mar she finished 2nd in the Clement L. Hirsch Stakes behind Stellar Wind and 2nd in the Pacific Classic behind California Chrome. SHe made her final prep in the Zenyatta Stakes (G1) at Santa Anita, finishing 2nd to Stellar Wind again.
