2020 Year in Review - As the year ends and we look ahead to the new year, it is time to take a look back at the highs and lows of 2020, one of the strangest years ever for horse racing, and remember those people and horses that we lost.

Malibu Stakes Day at Santa Anita - Saturday was opening day at Santa Anita and Charlatan romped home by 4 1/2 lengths in the featured Malibu Stakes (G1) while favorite Nashville finished fourth. Malibu Stakes Day Continued - Also on opening day at Santa Anita on the turf, Duopoly won the American Oaks (G1) by 2 lengths while favorite Sharing finished third. 2020 Cigar Mile (G1) Day - Saturday at a soggy Aqueduct, True Timber won the Cigar Mile (G1) giving jockey Kendrick Carmouche his first Grade 1 victory. Varda upsets in the Starlet Stakes (G1) - Saturday at Los Alamitos, Varda rallied to win the Starlet Stakes by 1 1/2 lengths over Kalypso and Nasreddine. Favorite Princess Noor was pulled up after a bad step but x-rayed clean back at the barn. Get the results, charts, and photos here.

Kentucky Derby Future Wager Pool 1 - The second Future Wager pool for this year's Kentucky Derby is now closed and the favorite as usual was the mutuel field at 6-5 with Life Is Good the lowest odds individual horse at 5-1 followed by Essential Quality at 12-1. Viadera gets up in the Matriarch Stakes (G1) - Closing day at Del Mar, Viadera got up by a nose to win the Matriarch Stakes (G1) over Blowout and Juliet Foxtrot with favorite Tamahere finished 6th. Hollywood Derby Day at Del Mar - Saturday at Del Mar, Domestic Spending rallied to win the Hollywood Derby (G1) by a head over Smooth Like Strait and Gufo. Three favourite victories on Classic day - It turned out to be a fairly successful day for punters on Classic day at the Breeders' Cup, as three betting favourites provided winners across the nine main races on the day. On top of that, many other fancied horses ran solid races.

Ride a Comet streaks to victory in the Kennedy Road Stakes (G2) - Saturday at Woodbine, Ride a Comet won the Kennedy Road Stakes (G2) by 1 1/4 lengths over Souper Stonehenge and favorite Pink Lloyd. Belmont and Travers winner Tiz the Law is the 3-5 morning line favorite and drew post 17. Honor A.P. is 5-1 from post 16 and Authentic is 8-1 from post 18. The Nunthorpe Stakes at Ebor Festival This Week - The feature race on Day 3 is the Nunthorpe Stakes that brings together Group 1 flat racehorses that are aged two years or older and run over a distance of 5 furlongs.
